Thrills and Frills
Belvidere
transforms into the Victorian village that it was over one-hundred years ago, celebrating with a festive two-day event every year. This weekend (Sept 10-11), the annual Belvidere Victorian Days
features
over one-hundred
antique, craft, and food vendors, quilters, lacemakers, horse & carriage rides, and an
antique car show.
With over
two-hundred historical sites, you can spend the day realizing the ambiance of yesteryear. Tickets for walking tours, historic house tours, and a cemetery tour are available online or can be purchased during the event. Pretty as a postcard, Victorian Belvidere lies on the banks of the Delaware River and Pequest River, just ten miles from either Route 80 or 78.

Craft Pickin' Time In Chester!
You know fall is here when the Fall Craft Show comes to Chester!
This weekend, (Sept 10-11)
the Historic Chester Business Association proudly presents Chester's 43rd Annual Fall Craft Show.
Rated among the Top 50 “Best Craft Shows in The Nation” , this must-see event will adorn two locations in Chester (Municipal/Gazebo Field and Perry Street) and boasts over 200 tents filled with handcrafted wares created by artisans from around the country. Sensational shopping, LIVE music, exciting raffles, and show-goers are only steps way from over 80 specialty shops and eateries along Chester’s brick-lined sidewalks.

Gallery gathering
Join a couple dozen -- maybe more -- proud and happy artists as they gather to celebrate fifteen years of operating their successful cooperative Gallery 23 at 23 Main St. in Blairstown on Saturday (Sept. 10). The showroom and retail store includes paintings, photography, pottery, stained glass, jewelry, fiber art, wood turned bowls, quilting, painted tiles, dioramas, and more. Passages What was left of Riegelsville Bridge after flood of 1903 was replaced by Roebling's Steel suspension bridge which still stands.
Although the New Jersey historical writer, Frank Dale, who passed away earlier this year, was nationally recognized for his book Delaware Diary and other work, he was always generous in assisting our efforts to characterize the personality of Northwest New Jersey. In 2001, he provided sketches from a book he was preparing, called Bridges Over the Delaware, that described the many river crossings in Hunterdon County. The story still makes a wonderful travel guide to that section of the Delaware Valley, especially in the fall. Here it is...
